Description
The 12V 12Ah MKC model 491460228 rechargeable lead-acid battery is a sealed VRLA AGM (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery with gas recombination technology, which allows 99% of the internal gases generated during operation to be recombined. This feature ensures safe operation and virtually maintenance-free use, eliminating the need to top up the electrolyte. The battery is designed for both standby and cyclic use, offering versatility in a wide range of professional applications.
The device can be installed indoors or integrated within electronic equipment, thanks to its sealed design that allows use in varying environmental conditions without the risk of leaks. Typical applications include emergency lighting systems, signage, security and alarm systems, industrial process continuity, UPS power supply, light traction, and renewable energy storage systems. To ensure long life and optimal performance, it is essential to use a constant voltage charging system that complies with the manufacturer’s specifications and to avoid leaving the battery discharged after use.
From a technical standpoint, the battery must not be discharged below the minimum voltage of 10.4 V, as this risks irreversible damage. It is also important to take all safety precautions during handling, as the battery contains acid. Use is strictly reserved for industrial environments and professional applications, in compliance with EU Regulation 2023/1542, thus ensuring high standards of safety and reliability for critical uses.
