Description
The 12V 18Ah rechargeable lead-acid battery with T3 terminal MKC 491460208 is a sealed VRLA AGM accumulator, designed with gas recombination technology that allows 99% of the internal gases to be recombined, thus ensuring safe and maintenance-free operation. This feature makes it suitable for both standby and cyclic applications, offering versatility and reliability in numerous professional and industrial contexts.
The product is ideal for installation within electronic equipment or various environments, thanks to its sealed structure which eliminates the need for topping up and routine maintenance. Typical applications include emergency lighting systems, signage, security and alarms, industrial process continuity, UPS, light traction, and energy storage systems for renewable energy. To ensure long life and optimal performance, it is essential to use a constant voltage charging system that complies with the manufacturer’s specifications, avoiding deep discharges that could irreversibly damage the battery.
From a safety and handling perspective, extreme caution is recommended as the battery contains acid; it is therefore intended exclusively for professional and industrial use, in accordance with EU Regulation 2023/1542. During use, the battery must never be left discharged and should be recharged immediately after use, maintaining the discharge voltage above the minimum limit of 10.4 V for 12 Volt models, to preserve its electrical characteristics and longevity.
