Ergonomics:
Compact and lightweight in design, the new C.A 652x & C.A 653x insulation testers are user-friendly and offer greater comfort to the user:
- Enclosure designed in accordance with a safety category of 600V - CAT IV and an IP54/IK04 protection rating, allowing for easy grip with maximum safety and easy access to the TEST button, even when the user is wearing insulating gloves.
- Magnetic support to attach the instrument to a metal surface, freeing the user’s hands during measurement and result reading.
- Large backlit display with dual digital display and logarithmic bargraph, secondary display showing in real-time, in addition to the measured value, the actual test voltage, test current, and timer value.
- Remote control with light spot for perfect identification of measurement points even in poorly lit environments.

Insulation testing:
This new range features multiple insulation test voltages between 10V and 1kV. The insulation measurement range extends up to 200GΩ, with IEC61557 compliance up to 2GΩ.
In addition to manual mode, new insulation test modes are offered such as lock mode, timed duration (Timer), as well as calculation of PI & DAR ratios.

Continuity testing:
The continuity test function compliant with IEC61557 (200mA current) is enhanced on certain models by a 20mA test current, which has the advantage of conserving batteries during standard use. This function includes active protection in the presence of voltage: fuses are not required.

Measurement adaptability:
On most models of the C.A 652X & C.A 653x range, it is possible to activate an alarm threshold selectable for each measurement, among 2 fixed thresholds and 1 customisable threshold.
Additionally, the ΔREL function allows displaying measurements as variations relative to a reference measurement. The display shows both the variation value and the percentage relative to the reference.

Other features:
DMM functions are available with voltage measurement up to 700V, frequency up to 800Hz, resistance up to 999kΩ, and capacitance up to 10µF.

Ease of use:
Measurement analysis is facilitated by storing 300 measurements on the instrument. Memory capacity is increased to 1300 locations for versions with Bluetooth® communication. The Megohmmeter Transfer (MEG) software module, supplied as standard with communicating versions, allows remote test initiation with real-time graphical display and transfer of stored measurements to a PC. Values are then displayed for each type of measurement.

The DataView® software package (optional) generates customised measurement reports that can include site and operator coordinates.
