Description
The Kobi LX39 PIR sensor is an infrared motion detection device designed for wall installation, featuring a wide coverage angle of 180° and a maximum detection range of 12 metres. Thanks to PIR (Passive Infrared) technology, the sensor detects thermal variations caused by the movement of people or objects, ensuring high reliability even in environments with temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 40 °C. The recommended installation height is between 1.8 and 2.5 metres, with a detected movement speed between 0.6 and 1.5 m/s, thus optimising detection accuracy.
From a technical standpoint, the LX39 supports a maximum load of 1200 W for incandescent sources and up to 300 W for fluorescent or LED lamps, powered by a mains voltage of 220-240 V at 50 Hz. The device integrates advanced adjustments, such as an on-timer (from 10 seconds to 8 minutes ± tolerance), sensor sensitivity, adjustable light intensity (from 3 to 2000 lux), and customisable detection thresholds. Energy consumption is low, at 0.45 W during operation and 0.1 W in standby, while the IP44 protection rating allows use in both indoor and outdoor environments, ensuring resistance to water splashes and dust.
The compact dimensions (95x73x73 mm) and light weight (150 g) make the LX39 sensor a versatile component for professional applications in public utility systems, alarm systems, and automatic lighting solutions. The white finish and discreet design easily blend into various architectural contexts, offering a reliable and high-performance solution for intelligent environmental control.
