Description
The Kobi LX40 PIR sensor is an infrared motion detection device designed for wall mounting, featuring a wide coverage angle of 180° and a maximum detection range of up to 12 metres. This sensor is particularly suitable for professional applications in public utility systems, alarm systems, and lighting control in residential and commercial environments. Its design allows reliable operation within a temperature range of -20 °C to +40 °C, ensuring consistent performance even under varying environmental conditions.
From a technical standpoint, the LX40 operates on a standard mains supply of 220-240 V at 50 Hz and supports loads up to 1200 W for incandescent sources and 300 W for LED lamps or fluorescent tubes. The sensor includes two adjustable settings: the switch-on timer, which can be varied from a minimum of approximately 10 seconds to a maximum of 8 minutes, and the adjustable light intensity between 3 and 2000 lux, allowing customised optimisation of operation according to the specific needs of the system. The detection sensitivity is calibrated to identify movements at speeds between 0.6 and 1.5 m/s, with a recommended installation height between 1.8 and 2.5 metres.
The device features low power consumption, equal to 0.45 W during operation and 0.1 W in standby mode, thus contributing to the energy efficiency of the system. Its compact dimensions (95x73x73 mm) and weight of 150 grams facilitate installation and integration in various settings. The IP44 protection rating ensures good resistance to dust and water splashes, making the sensor suitable for environments with less-than-ideal weather conditions. The black colour design gives a discreet and professional appearance, ideal for visible installations.
