Social media policy

Melchioni S.p.A., in order to enhance its customer communications, implements social media for specific services and/or projects. These channels complement existing tools, such as the company's official website.
Participation in social media through institutional accounts:

• is intended to provide information on newly developed products;
• engage with users through posts, comments on posts, and responses to requests, questions, criticisms, and suggestions.

Melchioni S.p.A. uses content—including multimedia content (photos, videos, etc.)—either its own or for which it has acquired the rights.
Institutional accounts are managed by Melchioni S.p.A. with the support of specifically selected external providers. Accounts are generally managed daily, on weekdays.

Moderation Rules

User comments, whether written or verbal, through posts and videos/recordings, must always be identifiable. These expressions represent the opinions of individuals and not those of Melchioni S.p.A., which declines all responsibility for the truthfulness and accuracy of content posted on its institutional pages by individuals and legal entities.
Melchioni S.p.A. It carries out preventive checks on uploaded material and removes/does not publish posts that are:

• discriminatory and offensive towards individuals, groups of individuals, or categories of individuals, based on gender, race, language, ethnicity, religion, political opinions, personal and social conditions, sexual orientation, and age;
• containing images of minors;
• discriminatory and offensive towards other users – whether or not present in the discussion, entities, associations, organizations in general, companies, or otherwise infringing the rights of third parties;
• containing inappropriate, vulgar, licentious, or language contrary to public decency and/or containing threatening tones;
• containing obscene, pornographic, and/or child pornographic material or material that offends public morals and sensibilities;
• misleading and alarmist;
• containing personal data about third parties and/or that could damage their reputation and/or cause damage;
• containing "special categories of data," as defined by the current legislation on the processing of personal data (EU Regulation 2016/679);
• containing unlawful topics or inciting unlawful acts or infringing copyright;
• containing advertising or the promotion of profit-making activities;
• containing political or propagandistic topics and spam;
• not relevant to ongoing discussions (off-topic), repetitive, and intended to disrupt the discussion.

For those who repeatedly violate these moderation rules, and in the most serious cases, even just once, Melchioni S.p.A. reserves the right to report the incident to the platform and, if necessary, to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

Information pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679

Melchioni S.p.A. informs you that the personal data you freely provide on institutional social media will be processed, as Data Controller, for the sole purpose of commenting on or responding to your requests and/or observations, primarily within the institutional page itself. Personal data will be processed with the support of suppliers specifically designated by the Data Controller. Personal data will be retained to fulfill requests or to document the activities performed, including for the purposes of protecting the company's interests and rights, including in court.
